we're getting real excited for the CD party next week, I'm most excited about this medley we put together where we do "Give Peace A Chance," "The Times, They Are A'Changin'" and "Hey Jude" all at the same time, smushed together like a lot of things should be.

We just got our first response about the new album! Here is a transcript of Tony Thomas from MinneapolisCast and Amy Daml from Radio K talking about the song "I am U" after it was played:
MinneapolisCast 2/20/08
www.minneapoliscast.com
T: that was tuesdaysrobot with "I am U", there's something about that song that I find really appealing.
A: Yeah, like the begining licks are sort of like very Bruce Springsteen rockesque, and then you bring in not quite a choir but a whole bunch of people singing the same rock lyrics.
T: Yeah, it's great, its got this very like rock groove and then it sounds like a bunch of people having a really great time and you wanna be apart of it.
A: yeah, its like a happy, sunshine filled party.
T:yeah, Like we were talking earlier, not quite like polyphonic spree, but um, who was it you were comparing them to?
A:I think "I'm from Barcelona" is the band I'm thinking of
T: well great stuff from tuesdaysrobot...

Hey alright we got some discs, the "Peace-Sing-A-Long" is complete. they should be for sale on line anyday now, or just come on down to a show and i'll most likely give you one for free. Look out for our CD Release party in April. We'll be doing our songs, as well as many other "peace-sing-a-long" songs for the lennon/dylan/civil rights-peace movement cataloges as well. Hope to hear you there.

Holy Crap!
The Dang Thing is almost done y'all! Thanks so much to Jacob for really pulling through after our little tragedy, i think the album really sounds better than it would have, had we not had our little mishap.
HEY!!!!!!!! If you were at one of the sing-a-longs and are reading this, make sure i get a picture of you to put in the album art collage. I've allready stolen most of you off your myspace pages, haha, for real though. and for those of you too cool to have a myspace, i'll get ya somehow. Also I'm having to do some investigating as i honestly don't remember who some of the people were that came! Flyers that say FREE PREMIUM often have that effect i suppose. If I leave you out, I apoligize in advance. Or i'll just put a few really fuzzy photos in there and say it was you haha. Seriously though thanks everyone for singing on our sing-a-long album. you all get a free copy... and some more premium. Andrew has a keg or two brewing as we speak. cheers -rick

we almost had it in the can. trouble is, sometimes when there's a can laying around. someone shts in it.
holy sht, someone who will remain nameless for karmic reasons, has co-opted our hard-drive from the studio we've been workin at, and inadvertently erased half the files which we've spent six months working on, and its just starting to hit me. we were a couple days work away from finishing the project, and now there's no telling when we'll be finished. i'm pretty sure that however it happened it was an accident, still i feel terrible for Jacob, our engineer, who has had to deal with this mis-hap. i've asked him not to tell me who it was, allthough i have a pretty good guess. i feel the most frustration for this person's apparent lack of remorse for his mistake, and i hear that his unco-operative actions after the fact cost Jacob a friendship. naturally i've only heard one side of the story, still, as i tell my kids as often as possible: "learning to say you are sorry is the best lesson you can hope to learn."
so that's the rub for tuesdaysrobot for a while. if you see me around or are reading this and would like, make sure to ask me for one of the zines i've made recently, as the main upsetness i've felt lately is that i'll not have something of myself CD-wise to share with all of you for at least acouple more months. and dont worry, i ussually cant feel sorry for myself for more than a week or so.
